The goal of Cherish Our Children International is to develop and fund projects and programs that provide a brighter future for the world’s most vulnerable children. We stand for a world in which each child has the opportunity to live life fully and to make their unique contribution.
Cherish Our Children International believes that all children should be protected and nurtured. We believe in providing children with a solid foundation for healthy physical, intellectual, and emotional development. We value enriching experiences that teach critical life skills and lead to independence. We value young people as leaders and are committed that they have real opportunities to contribute in the world. We believe in children helping other children and we honor adults who embrace and empower young people to reach beyond their current experience and realize their dreams.
Cherish Our Children International is bringing miracles into the lives of children in Romania, Serbia, Kenya, Israel, Mexico, Nigeria, Sudan, and the United States. Because of COCI’s support, HIV positive children in Romania receive health education, food and medicine and street children are brought to a safe and nurturing environment where they learn critical life skills. Severely disabled and disadvantaged children in Belgrade institutions are provided access to medical, educational and social programs. In Kenya, COCI supports a day care/residential center servicing 70 children from the Kisumu slums, 12 resident children and provides outreach to 25 homestead families. In Israel, Cherish Our Children supports a soccer program that acts as a bridge between Jewish and Arab children and is piloting a program that brings Palestinian and Israeli children together on the same team. In Mexico, COCI is providing a small impoverished village with clean drinking water and educational facilities. At home in the United States, COCI is supporting programs that bring formula to hungry babies and provide tutoring and counseling to high-risk children of incarcerated parents.
