Middle School Students

An estimated 131,000 children in the Houston metro area have experienced parental incarceration and more than 43,000 are of middle school age.

As a group, these students are 70% more likely to experience emotional or psychological disorders, two-to-three times more likely to be truant, and are at significant risk of ultimately dropping out of school.
